Day 8: Maximized Manhood

The Bible says, God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. And God said unto them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and take dominion. - Genesis 1:26-28
Men and women, not knowing exactly who they are or what their respective roles are, are confused and anxiety ridden. Men often will not make a clear-cut decision on, or commitment to anything. They just muddle through it.
So women have been sucked into the areas that men have abandoned. As a result, men, women, and children are angry and frustrated, and in increasing numbers, facing an “identity crisis”. Women are having to take on the leadership role that the father was meant to possess. They have become the primary figure for authority in children. They make, manage, and control the money, and even pay the bills. Today’s young man is making every effort to demonstrate that he’s a real man, like Mom.
Men have, as a result, been undercut in his position as a male. So today’s man may wear jewelry, like bracelets, necklaces, and maybe even an earring or two. He wears unisex style haircuts, wears unisex pants, and soft, silky shirts. He may even be a “macho man” (machismo) who acts irresponsibly with his wife and children, and/or indulges in sexual “freedom”, and does his own thing.
At the same time, women are wearing shorter haircuts, masculine pants and suits, and even neckties, in an attempt to showcase their rage or self-hatred towards men (fathers), and to fill in where their male figure failed them.
It is way past time to reintroduce male virtues, chivalry, and a respect for women and children, and to take the rightful place that God created the man to be. It’s time that we pay attention to what God has written “to us” about living as a “Maximized Man”. Let’s study God’s Word regarding the real man!
