GO SERVE THE COMMUNITY

I CAN HELP!  |  Can you help with transportation? Can you paint or handle minor construction? How about short-term childcare or tutoring? Can you provide a meal? There are many ways to help. If you have gifts, abilities or just a little time that could be a help with those in need let us know here, I CAN HELP! We will contact you as needs arise. (I would like the same I CAN HELP button that we had on ccrespond.com)

Faith Community Caregiver at Baylor, Scott and White Hospital | If you have a heart full of passion and compassion for the sick, BSW will provide the structure and tools to assist you in making a difference in their lives. Volunteers are asked to simply spend one hour per week via Zoom with lonely and isolated prior patients of BSW. Your willingness to simply be a friend and encourager is needed more than ever during these days of Covid-19. You’ll be asked to follow the patient's cues as to what they would like to talk about but also check on their mental, spiritual, and physical needs. For more information on being a volunteer and training opportunities CLICK HERE

Families Adopting Families  |  Are you really wanting to make a difference in someone’s life? As we encounter families who are experiencing homelessness our goal is to connect them with other willing and available families who want to help. With building friendships and lasting relationships as the starting point, these “adopting families” help to ensure our families in need are taken care of during these rough times. What does that look like? How do we do that? CLICK HERE to get all of your questions answered.

Many Helping Hands  |  Christ Church partners with Many Helping Hands by serving as one of 18 churches preparing and serving dinner for our homeless neighbors quarterly on Thursday nights. For more information on volunteer opportunities with this ministry CLICK HERE

Family Promise  |  Family Promise is a faith-based, non-profit that assists children and their families who have lost or are at risk of losing their housing. They help by providing food, community resources, and encouragement through a network of volunteers. Christ Church partners with Family Promise several times a year and during those times multiple volunteer opportunities are available. For more information on volunteer opportunities with this ministry CLICK HERE

I Have Items to Donate  |  Do you have gently used furniture available to donate to a family? We can’t store the items but if you’re willing to partner, we have a number of families that would make good use of your items. Take pictures of the items and then contact Steve Allen HERE. He’ll help find your furniture a good home or be able to connect you with a local non-profit that can.
